TMT means Thermo-Mechanically Treated. After rolling, the bars are rapidly cooled so the outer layer turns hard and strong while the core stays flexible. For you, that means a reinforcing bar that carries heavy loads, bends on site without cracking, and grips concrete tightly thanks to its ribbed surface.
